Our advisory committee is a volunteer group formed to give advice and support to our nonprofit's board of directors or executive staff.  The advisory committee contributes to the organization in many different ways.  For example, we recently posted for a Director and the committee conducted the initial interviews to identify the top candidates. 

Like most advisory committees, ours includes a group of individuals that effectively supplement the board’s skills and abilities to help guide the organization toward its stated mission. The primary role is to provide the board with key information and to make recommendations to them on certain matters.
